In the early days of their religious congregation, founded in 1815, Missionaries of the Precious Blood focused on preaching parish missions in villages throughout the Italian countryside.
During the day, the Missionaries would station themselves in a popular piazza in town, drawing attention to the mission. At night they would preach, offering special sessions to working men, and religion lessons to the children. They visited the sick and those imprisoned, so that the Word would be carried to all.
What’s going on in our parish right now that might rekindle our faith, if we just decide to show up?
Missionaries of the Precious Blood (C.PP.S.), whose members minister in this parish, celebrate the 200th anniversary of their founding in 2015.
